Basmati borrows its name from the Hindi phrase for “fragrant,” which is no surprise, once you’ve cooked it. Your favorite moment of mealtime might just be taking off the lid and letting that amazing scent hit the air. Or, you know, tasting it. That’s pretty great too. Oh, and it's naturally gluten free. California

Cooking Instructions
Use a 2:1 water to rice ratio. Rinse 1 cup rice well before combining with 2 cups water and a hefty pinch or half a teaspoon of salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stir, reduce heat, and cover. Let simmer for 50 minutes without stirring. After 50 minutes or when water has been absorbed, remove from heat, let sit 5 minutes covered, then fluff with a fork and serve. For additional flavor, use broth instead of water and add a tablespoon or two of butter with the salt. Sustainably grown.
