Bulgur is a particularly good source of manganese, magnesium and iron and also slightly lower in calories than other comparable whole grains, such as brown rice or quinoa. (Healthline) Red bulgur is the star in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine and is made from whole grain hard red wheat.

Cooking Instructions
Combine 1 cup bulgur, 1.5 cups water, a pinch of salt, and a drizzle of olive oil in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 12 minutes until bulgur is tender, and then remove from heat. Keep covered for 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork and serving immediately.
